In 1981, we moved to Saudi Arabia, where Norm worked
for
ARAMCO for the next 4.5 years. Below, Norm meets a camel
with an Attitude! At least it didn't spit on him!

We came back to the states for good in June of 1985. Just two weeks after we got home for good, a bomb went off at the Luthunsia Infomation desk at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany, killing 22 Americans. We had spent 4.5 hours at that very same desk, just two weeks before. Terrorism really took off after that, so we got back to the good ole US of A in the nick of time. As it was, the entire time we lived in Saudi Arabia, my mother was convinced we were ducking missiles almost daily!

Mom'e Coco
Precious CubbyBear
Is this an adorable little face or what!! This is
Coco. She was CubbyBear's mommie. What a little character she was!
Coco was the Best little mother. She had 2 puppies in her one litter ever.......and
when the puppies were being pottie trained to newspapers, I saw Coco go and pick up a
little turd that one of the puppies had left on the carpet. Coco took it and placed it on
the newspaper!! I could hardly believe my eyes! I couldn't get to the phone
FAST enough, to call everyone I knew, to tell them what a BRILLIANT dog Coco
was!!!! The very next day, the pups left a little turd on the
paper! Oh boy......what a Wonderful mommie Coco was!! I was just bursting with
pride over her when, all of a sudden, I noticed that she had walked over to the
newspaper and had picked up the little turd. She carried it across the room and set
it down on the carpet, just where the other one had been the day before!! No one got
a phone call that day!! Can Anyone explain this strange behavior to me? : )
